Spring 2021 Schedule Changes
Understanding the Spring 2021 Schedule Changes
In response to COVID-19 and following SUNY and New York State guidance, the college has modified its course schedule for Fall 2020 to reflect a greater focus on social distancing and to minimize on-campus density. This has been accomplished by moving most lecture content to an online environment. Courses that were previously located on a campus have been moved to remote instruction unless there was an essential lab component that could not be offered remotely.
This means that students and instructors will need to review the modified schedule to properly identify any courses in which they were already registered or to which they were assigned.
Q: How do I log in to
A: You will use your usual SUNY Erie login and password. You can find those credentials at
Q: How can I check my schedule?
(WA) go to the Students menu and click on 'My class schedule.'
Q: How do I know that my classes are counting toward my degree?
, run the Program Evaluation and make sure that none of the courses you are taking in Fall 2020 are falling in the other courses category at the end of the program evaluation. Consult with your advisors if you have any questions or concerns:
Q: Do these changes affect my financial aid?
A: No. Financial Aid will not be impacted by changes in location or mode of instruction. Please use
Financial Aid Self-Service
or contact the Financial Aid Office with questions:
Q: Can I get help setting up my schedule from an advisor or counselor?
A: Yes. Call 716-851-1322 during regular business hours (8 a.m. 4 p.m., Monday - Friday) to schedule a remote appointment or contact your academic advisor. On-campus appointments are also available, but walk-in service is not being provided without an appointment:
Q: Sections that were previously on-campus have been modified to Internet Courses. How can I know the original campus location of a course section?
A: While we cannot display the original locations in addition to the new internet location, each campus utilizes a set of conventions within the section number of a course (e.g., the section number for PY-101-IC1 would be IC1). Here are those rules:
sections begin with two letters (E.g., AB)
sections begin with two numbers (E.g., 51)
sections begin with a number followed by a letter (E.g., 0B)
Q: How do I find/contact my advisor?
A: You can identify your advisor via the Program Evaluation. Faculty contact information is available via the Phone Directory, as well as this page:
Q: Can I come to campus even if I am not taking on-campus classes?
A: Yes. The campuses are open for support services, bookstores, and food service.
Q: How do I know if I have to meet with my online classes at a specific time?
A: The section listing in
will have times attached if that is a faculty expectation.
