Media Relations

  • Media Relations

Media Relations responds to media inquiries and requests, issues news releases and assembles news and information.  Our job is to keep the public informed about SUNY Erie news and initiatives, facts, programs and student, faculty and staff achievements. Our work each year produces dozens of stories about SUNY Erie initiatives and quotations from SUNY Erie faculty experts in such influential media as The Buffalo News, Business First, etc.

    News Conferences and News Releases

SUNY Erie’s media relations is authorized to organize and coordinate all college news conferences and plays a critical role in crisis communications and issues management. We prepare SUNY Erie faculty and administrators for news media interviews and serve as college spokespeople when appropriate. News releases, media advisories and video interviews produced are posted to SUNY Erie’s website, Today@SUNY Erie, social media outlets and are disseminated digitally to media outlets. This material is used as content on websites throughout SUNY Erie and within college publications and marketing materials.

    Faculty Experts

Faculty who wish to be accessible as expert sources for reporters covering breaking news and trend stories are encouraged to work with SUNY Erie's Public Information Officer.
