    SUNY Erie Career Centers – Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)

    As a certified career center under the Buffalo & Erie County Workforce Investment Board, the SUNY Erie Career Center has an extensive system of resources. The team is passionate about helping you move forward with your career goals, and we offer a myriad of services to Erie County and Western New York residents. We know it can seem overwhelming to job search by yourself, or to explore career options, but professionals at our Career Center can help you in more ways than you realize, all at no cost.

    All in-person visits and on-campus events have been cancelled until further notice due to Coronavirus concerns. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you in person in the future.  In the meantime, our Career Center staff are working remotely and are happy to connect with you. We are offering virtual one-on-one appointments, orientations, networking groups, and webinars.
    Our cost-free career services include:

    •    Linkages and introductions to hiring employers
    •    Career and job readiness workshops
    •    Beautiful resumes, uniquely created with/for you (Center registration is required)
    •    Virtual networking clubs
    •    Grant funding for eligible students
    •    Trade Act Specialists for eligible individuals/companies

    If you are filing an Unemployment Insurance claim or have a questions about your claim, please call, toll-free: 888-209-8124. You may also file online at www.labor.ny.gov/home/.  Local Career Center staff are not able to access information about Unemployment Insurance claims.

    •    The SUNY Erie (One Stop) Career Center is funded by the Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Development Consortium, Inc. on behalf of the Workforce Development Board of Buffalo and Erie County, Inc.
    •    Language translation assistance is available for Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act and Trade Act services via telephone through LanguageLine Solutions, Inc.
