  • SUNY Erie One Stop Career Center

    Extended hours to accommodate your schedule
    Monday to Thursday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    As a certified career center under the Buffalo & Erie County Workforce Investment Board, the SUNY Erie (One Stop) Career Center has an extensive system of resources. The team is passionate about helping you move forward with your career goals, and we offer a myriad of services to Erie County and Western New York residents. We know it can seem overwhelming to job search by yourself, or to explore career options, but professionals at our Career Center can help you in more ways than you realize, all at no cost.

    Our extended hours allow under-employed and busy individuals like you to finish important tasks without the additional time constraints you see at many other agencies. We understand our customers’ schedules are hectic; the availability of our services should not be.

    All the necessary resources in our Career Center are available so you can focus on the things that matter most.

    Our cost-free career services include:

    • Career coaching and job referrals
    • Job postings and Labor Market Information
    • Linkages and introductions to hiring employers
    • Many career and job readiness workshops
    • Beautiful resumes, uniquely created with/for you (Center registration is required)
    • Thursday afternoon networking clubs
    • Grant funding for eligible students
    • Well-equipped Resource Room and computer lab with high speed Internet access
    • Postage for correspondence with hiring employers
    • Trade Act Specialists for eligible individuals/companies
    • Easy workshop registration available online at https://elinks.ecc.edu/onestop/

    Please note, Unemployment Insurance is not handled locally and we are not able to access or assist with Unemployment Insurance claims. To file an Unemployment Insurance claim online, please visit www.labor.ny.gov. You may also call 1-888-209-8124 in-state or 1-877-358-5306 out-of-state.

    The SUNY Erie (One Stop) Career Center is funded by the Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Development Consortium, Inc. on behalf of the Workforce Development Board of Buffalo and Erie County, Inc. Other nonprofit partner agencies are housed onsite to assist job seekers including the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL), Supportive Services Corporation, and Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR). 

    Language translation assistance is available for Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act and Trade Act services via telephone through LanguageLine Solutions, Inc.
