As an accepted new or transfer student to SUNY Erie, you are invited to attend a New Student Orientation session. As well as meeting other incoming SUNY Erie students, orientation will provide you the opportunity to meet with staff that will ensure your first-year experience is a success. The orientation program will help you navigate your initial year at SUNY Erie by helping you clearly understand the expectations and requirements involved in collegiate success, discover the campus resources to help make those achievements possible, and the available support services that will help you on your way.To be eligible to register for New Student Orientation, you must be waived from or have completed the Accuplacer placement test. Once you have met eligibility criteria to attend orientation and have received your Admissions Acceptance packet, please register for orientation by completing the online registration form below.Students should also contact their department to obtain advisement and registration for their first semester classes. Students may also schedule an appointment with the Counseling Center to obtain advisement and registration for their first semester.Breakout sessions will be available after the orientation presentation. We will be offering Campus tours, MyECC tech support, Advisement and a chance to have your Student ID Cards Printed. Our Campus Tours are run by our Orientation Team Leaders who will point out all the important places on campus so our students are prepared for the first day of school. During the MyECC breakout session we provide a professional technology employee to help reset passwords or any other technical support that may be needed to successfully sign in to the student web account. The Student ID Card session will only be for eligible students who have registered for their classes 24 hours prior to orientation. We will offer Advisement but space is limited.
